Hello, I am Grandma Maggie. I have been given the chance to pass along some of my favorite recipes to you. These are recipes are my grandma’s recipes and some that I have created. Since I am also a Grandma, I am just going to title this page Grandma’s Recipes.
I am proud and honored to having grew up with two of the greatest women that I have ever known. My grandmothers. I wish that I had the words to show how much I admired and respected them. But one thing that I can do is pass along some of the most awesome recipes that they passed along to me. And hopefully you find them as enjoyable as I have found them.
Both of my grandmothers leaved through the Great Depression, so most of the recipes are simple with only a few ready ingredients. It was the Depression, so you had to make due with what you had and make that go as far as you can.
I am going to present you with recipes that range from Main courses to Deserts and everything in between. I grew up with fond memories of these Recipes, eating them as I grew up and serving them to my own family.
Grandma Eli’s Coke-Cola Pie
Grandma’s Eli’s Coke-Cola Pie is one of my grand kids favorite pie recipes and it is one of my favorites as well. I remember Grandma Eli serving the pie cold on warm summer days. It was a treat that you would look forward to eating over and over again. The rich chocolate taste was awesome.
It is a simple recipe that you enjoy making and serving to your family and friends. Go visit Grandma Eli’s Coke-Cola Pie and see how easy it is to make.
Grandma Eli’s Potato Soup
Grandma Eli’s Potato Soup is one of my favorite soups of all time. It is one of the “stick to your bones” type of soups. It was one of the first recipes that she me help her make for the family. I enjoyed my time seating in the kitchen with her, learning to cook and listen to her tell me stories about he growing up during the Great Depression.
The Potato Soup required only a few ingredients; but had amazing favor. Go visit Grandma Eli’s Potato Soup page and see how to make it.
