I recall a Case of missing dog called Sally. She is a cute and lovable five year old German Shepard. Consequently, everything was fine until Sally spotted a Rabbit and the chase was on. The family tried calling her back, but she was totally focused on the rabit. She followed the rabbit into the woods and she was gone.
The search for Sally
The City streets is not place where a house dog should be. The City at night is a mean and harsh place for a family pet. The streets are cold and filled with stray and unwanted pets that wouldn’t have a second thought about dispatching another stray that inters their territory. You can just imagine how terrifying Sally was in a scary unkown place. Time was not on her side.
I was contacted and I interviewed the Family to find out what I could about the situation. The family was so heartbroken that Sally was missing. Sally was a member of the family and I ensured them that I would do everything that I can to find her. I was hoping that Sally would show some street savy and at night stay hidden and only move during daylight. Nonetheless, I still curised the streets at night just incase she was roaming.
The Family gave me a Photo of Sally and I distributed the photo to the local and City animal shelters. Days passed with no word until the fourth day when I got a call that a dog was in the City Animal Shelter that matched Sally’s description. I contacted the family and gave them the news. They travelled back to the City with the hope that Sally was found. By the grace of God, it was Sally and the Family was finally whole again.
